Job Description
The Engineer’s Representative / Supervision Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
– Carrying out the duties of the Engineer as described in the civil works contract documents.
– Managing the Consultant's team.
– Elaborating the program of activities for the team.
– Handling the logistics of the team.
– Ensuring that services are carried out in accordance with the Terms of Reference.
– Verifying and certifying interim and final statements of work.
– Managing claim issues and preparing claim settlements for the Employer.
– Producing periodic and final reports as well as any other reports required by the Employer.
– Inspecting the works during the Defects Notification Period and issuing related reports.
– Advising the Employer on any issues likely to affect financial resources, such as variation
orders or scope of work.
– Delegating duties as appropriate to Main Supervision Engineers.
– Carrying out any other tasks required by the Employer.
Qualification and Skills
– A graduate engineer (civil engineer) with a university degree awarded after three or more
years of study in a university or equivalent institution.
– Preferable 7 years of experience on contracts implemented under FIDIC Conditions of
Contract.
– Chartered engineer under BH law ("položen stručni ispit") or equivalent professional
engineering qualification from another country.
General Professional Experience
– Preferable 15 years of general professional experience.
– Experience in design, construction, construction supervision, and contract management of
transport infrastructure projects. Experience in railway infrastructure projects is advantageous.
Specific Professional Experience
– Preferable 10 years of specific professional experience.
– Preferable 5 years of international experience or international projects.
– Experience in similar positions in construction supervision and contract management in at
least two (2) transport infrastructure projects, preferably railway construction, under conditions
similar to those in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
– Experience as a FIDIC engineer (supervision coordinator) or deputy team leader on two (2)
similar transport infrastructure projects, preferably railway construction, of similar magnitude to
this project.
Language Skills
– Fluent in written and spoken English.
– Working knowledge of the local language will be considered a strong asset.
